Good to know

Access differs a lot from town to town. Pai is reached from Chiang Mai along a winding mountain road. Nan and Sukhothai are usually reached by flight or overnight bus from Bangkok. Umphang is a remote nature gateway, and the road to Thi Lo Su waterfall can close seasonally, so confirm current access before planning around it.
